Turns out the FBI raid of Trump Towers in Florida was about Russian money laundering
When the FBI raided a condo at Trump Towers in Florida last week, the only publicly available information at the time was that the unit was owned by a Russian shell company. Whether the raid was directly connected to Donald Trump or not – he doesn’t have a residence there and the building merely licenses his name – it all felt too familiar.
Now it turns out it’s an even more familiar story. According to the Miami Herald newspaper, the FBI raid of Trump Towers was the result of a federal criminal probe into Russian money laundering. Yep, Russian money laundering. Because of course it was.
