Manhattan DA seeks protective order against Donald Trump during arraignment hearing
There are no cameras allowed in the courtroom during today’s Donald Trump arraignment hearing. But reporters are getting information out of the courthouse in real time, and something interesting has already emerged.
The Manhattan DA is seeking a protective order against Donald Trump to block him from leaking the evidence in the case. The DA is also seeking pretrial restrictions on Trump’s behavior, citing his existing antics ranging from attacking witnesses to threatening violence against the prosecutor.
We’ll see what the judge in the case decides; these things are entirely at the judge’s discretion. But we told you that Trump’s inappropriate social media posts would be presented during his arraignment, and sure enough, that’s happening.
