Donald Trump’s Manhattan criminal trial could be televised after all
If you’re wondering whether Donald Trump’s criminal trial in Manhattan will be televised, you should be aware that New York state law currently prevents such things from happening. You should also be aware that the New York state legislature is pushing legislation to change that rule and allow cameras in the courtroom.
If this legislation passes and takes effect before Trump’s trial, the door will then be open for television cameras to air Trump’s trial live. Keep in mind that as the legislation is currently worded, each judge will still get to decide whether any given trial should be televised. But this legislation would at least give the judge in Trump’s case the option of allowing in TV cameras. Stay tuned.
