Donald Trump is hallucinating
Donald Trump just keeps trying to find new ways to try to convince everyone, and mainly just convince himself, that he’s somehow still politically viable. At this point it mostly consists of just increasingly ludicrous fantasies.
For instance, at a political speech last night, Trump went on and on about how he got more votes in Florida in 2020 than Ron DeSantis did. This may be technically true, but it’s a ridiculous apples and oranges comparison.
Everyone knows about the sheer number of people who show up to vote solely in the presidential election, but don’t even bother to go down the ballot to things like a race for governor. This doesn’t mean Trump is more popular than anyone. It just means he’s hallucinating about how things even work.
