Donald Trump has berserk meltdown amid report that he’s being indicted for the Espionage Act tomorrow
Earlier today one of Donald Trump’s own allies announced that the DOJ had informed Trump that he’s being indicted. Then the Independent reported that the DOJ has decided to indict Trump under the Espionage Act and that it’ll happen as soon as tomorrow.
Trump isn’t taking any of this well, erupting on social media. He’s insisting that “No one has told me I’m being indicted,” and that “I’ve done NOTHING wrong.” He then bizarrely listed off a bunch of his other criminal scandals, just so he could call them all “SCAMS & WITCH HUNTS.” Weird. Trump is reminding us of all the past crimes he’s committed, some of which we’d forgotten about, because there have been so many of them.
Trump ended his meltdown by screaming that “REPUBLICANS IN CONGRESS MUST MAKE THIS THEIR # 1 ISSUE!!!” That’s cute, but there’s nothing House Republicans can actually do. Congress has some oversight over the DOJ, but the DOJ doesn’t comment on ongoing criminal investigations, and this is likely to remain an ongoing investigation even after Trump’s first round of charges are brought.
