Donald Trump is set to go on trial next week over the rape allegations that E. Jean Carroll has made against him. It’s a civil trial not a criminal trial, so it can’t put Trump in prison or anything. But it can still be devastating for him if he loses.
Trump’s attorneys haven’t been able to delay the start of the trial with their last minute motions, so now they’ve moved on to trying to get the testimony of some witnesses excluded.
Specifically, Trump is going after the testimony of two former People Magazine writers, both women. In other words, Trump really doesn’t want anyone to hear what these two women have to say about their past experiences with him. So now you know what to watch for.
