Arizona Republican state legislator expelled
This has been a week marked by Republican state majorities wrongfully expelling Democratic legislators for ugly reasons. But now a Republican state legislator has been expelled in Arizona, and it’s apparently for the right reasons.
This particular Republican state legislator was apparently so corruptly and maniacally out of control, her fellow Republicans felt compelled to expel her just to make the headache go away:
BREAKING NEWS: A corrupt Republican lawmaker has just been EXPELLED from the Arizona State Legislature over ethics violations, including some relating to election misinformation.
According to Democracy Docket, the Arizona House now has 29 Democrats and 30 Republicans.

As we get closer to 2024 and more Republican Party leaders start to realize that clinging to the ghost of Donald Trump is a losing strategy, we’re going to see more of these kinds of reckonings.
